Congratulations to Mr. Jellison, SCEMS principal, for being named the Southwest Kansas Music Educator's Association Honor Administrator for 2024. He will receive the official award at the KMEA honor choir performance, but was recognized today in front of the student body for this honor. Congrats Mr. Jellison!

At Friday Nights game on Oct. 4 the Homecoming King and Queen were announced. This years royalty are JT Prusa and Gracie York. 2024 Satanta Tournament Champions!! The varsity and JV teams both finished with a 5-0 record. Varsity team is now 11-0 for the season!

The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Comanche Co. Sheriffs Office spoke with our students during the first week of school about the dangers of distracted driving, impaired driving, and seatbelt safety. Students got to try out their seatbelt convincer to simulate a low-speed traffic crash and also got to try impairment goggles to simulate being under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and how it could impact their driving. Thank you for taking the time with our students to help keep them safe!

8th Graders got to celebrate with family and friends at South Central Middle School. Mr. Jellison promoted 8th graders to the high school. The class of 2028 then celebrated at their last middle school dance.
